Future plans involve supporting the ASL token management system to streamline the process of managing active prescriptions for consumers. ePrescribing will simplify prescription management, particularly for patients with complex medication regimens. Dinesh Reddy, CareMonitor Chief Technology Officer, said:

Improved efficiency is another key benefit, as ePrescribing enables quick and accurate prescription fulfilment, eliminating manual handling of paper prescriptions.
Coordinated care is also enhanced, with seamless exchange of prescription information improving coordination between providers and pharmacies, leading to better patient care management.
ePrescribing offers greater choice for patients, allowing them to choose their preferred pharmacy … This empowers patients and reduces the burden on healthcare professionals to manage pharmacy preferences.”
Mr Reddy further noted that by utilising eRx Script Exchange for electronic prescription transfers, we plan to incorporate active script list (ASL) capability in future updates.
